Subject: [Chrononauts] Jade Statue of Tirade questions
I haven't used Jade Statue's special abilities yet, but looking at the action cards that it might apply to raises these questions, which I list with possible answers:
1. Obviously, Tirade can be used for "Sell an Artifiact" cards. Can it also be used for "Perform a 'Miracle'" cards?
No: The Tirade cards says "when using any Action that lists Bonus Artifacts". The "Sell an Artifact" cards mention Bonuses, "Miracle" cards do not.
Yes: The word "Bonus" probably does not appear on the Miracle cards because of space constraints. ("Biblical Relics", "Future Wisdom", "Popular Science" already take up the whole line.) The effect of the special Miracle cards is essentially the same as the Bonus cards for Artifact sales -- it increases the cards you get by one -- so the Tirade statue should also apply here.
2. How does the Jade Statue of Tirade count for the Mona Lisa Bonus?
A) Consider it the least convincing copy of Mona Lisa; therefore, Tirade gets that bonus only if no other Mona Lisa card is in play.
B) Consider it the most convincing copy, even more than the Real Thing -- not because people think it's the Mona Lisa, but because its artistic merit is so superior that art dealers would rather have Tirade than Mona.
What do you think?
