I played a version my cousin came up with once: Chrononauts: Speed draw. Each player has an ID and draws one card to start. The only way to win is to match your ID baseline and go home. On your turn, you draw a card and play it. If you can't play it, then you discard it. If there are no cards left in the draw pile, then reshuffle the discard pile as the new draw pile. Each player takes a turn going around the table until someone goes home or the universe collapses via paradox. We played it and it was fun but it was rather boring to get started since there was a lot of drawing and discarding. Also, I had thought of trying out a variant where everyone had two ID cards and you had to work to get them both home but this could be hard to do since some of the IDs overlap a little bit. :) Ken -----Original Message----- From: chrononauts-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:chrononauts-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Brett Slocum Sent: Tuesday, April 14, 2009 8:46 AM To: Chrononauts Discussion List Subject: Re: [Chrononauts] alternate method of play This sounds like a great variant, perhaps the boardgame version of Chrononauts with all the cardsets, time machine pieces, time traveller figures, etc. Brett On 4/14/09, ANDY ARNOLD <aarnol3570@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > I've been toying with an alternate version of Chrononauts in which players > can only play inverters, patches, etc., on cards that contain a time > traveler.
