In case it hasn't been said:Tree farms are farms, not forests. They should not be counted as forests or wildlife areas. They require fertilizers to replace nutrients and pesticides to control blights. The trees in a tree farm are not of many species, and undergrowth and other is kept to a minimum. Counting the number of trees in the country and proclaiming environmental success is not enough, it's like counting wheat fields as wild grassland.
