I confess I'm one of the Icehouse lurkers who hasn't even played Volcano yet, but certainly the "volcanos that can only erupt along arrows" idea is thematically valid -- the weaknesses in the rock generally determine where the eruptions will happen, so it's definitely not arbitrary.
