Intentional Omission - You might be at a bar (where I invented it), you might be around a card table, whatever.
;)
I
could, of course, include verbiage to that effect and I will now. I
probably should also make some mention of an "elbow rule" or some-such,
where the shooter's elbow may never cross the edge of the playing
surface, when shooting (refer to the rules of Carrom.org which is an inspiration for AS). This prevents smashing from a very close distance... but maybe that's OK? I have to test further, myself.
Any thoughts about pyramid-off-surface or smasher-off-surface (i.e. "crashing") penalties? I've only really played it at the pub, where I had a strong incentive NOT to smash hard or far: didn't want my pyramids to get crunched by the bartender or flung into the sink/ice cooler/glass rack. :)
Thanks for the feedback!

Rules Ambiguity - how should players "sit" around a table? Should the atom be at the end of a long table, with all players smashing from the far side? What if the table is square?
