Um, that is precisely what nabble does. Dale Newfield posted the link

The list works fine, there's just not a lot of activity. Does
anyone know if
there's a good icehouse forum? Or newsgroup maybe? Threaded

might be nice for a change.
I'm quite willing to host a forum at my domain,
freelancetraveller.com.
I can even set up the forum to 'gate' the list; that would essentially
give one single messagebase (plus an archive) with web, email, and
newsgroup access. I am assuming that the existing mailing list is
'members-only' for posting; to continue to protect the list that
way, a
user would have to sign up for both the list and the forum, and use
the
same e-mail address with both - that way, the forum gets set up as
'moderated', the list submission address is the 'moderator', and I
have
some machinations to arrange to get 'Approved' headers onto messages
coming back from the list, so that they'll appear in the
forum/newsgroup.
That said, before I proceed, I would want to see a positive statement
from an appropriate Looney, as I note that this list is hosted on
their
domain, and I believe they have a direct proprietary interest in it.
FWIW, if one is taking the NON-digest version of the list, the list
messages _will_ thread in any mail client that supports threading,
such
as Forté Agent.
