Ill definitely search around and see if I can find out more
information about it, thanks for the lead on that. It's such a perfect
game for adaption to that platform that Im surprised it hasnt been done
already. They've got some excellent virtual chessboards there, and
even a Monopoly game (called "SLopoly") that is brilliantly designed, a table
with the board, dice that roll, tokens moving around on it, even the property
cards that show up in front of where your avatar is sitting when you buy the
lands (I bought a set for my virtual place). So if something
that complex can be done, then Icehouse should be a piece of cake to
adapt.
The pyramids would be very easy to build, in fact you can create
one to whatever size you want with a single click of the mouse. I have a
virtual Tarot shoppe there, and one designer has created a great deck that can
be modified, and they would be perfect for a virtual Icehouse game. So the
creation of the game pieces would be simple, getting together the program
(or "script") that would turn the pieces correctly and the rest of it, that
would be the real chore. But Im sure there are scripters there who could
create it. After Ive learned the games, Id definitely like to experiment
with the virtual concept and see where it goes. Ill keep the list
here updated on the progress. :)
I dont remember if I posted this before, but I have a page on my
site which shows my various avatars and lands, check it out for more
information:
