Hi, all; I know I'm new and haven't contributed to the list yet, though I am a busy Demo Rabbit and am making a couple of books for LL. Still, I gotta ask: could folks please delete autoquoted text when you reply? I read the Digest form of the list, and it's hard to follow when folks just keep top-posting over and over again, so that the final posts in a given thread are a hundred lines long but only adding one or two sentences. Not meaning to be a jerk or anything, and forgive me for asking if you think it's rude. But it *is* generally considered rude to waste bandwidth (and thus, the Looneys money) by top-posting, in a public forum/list which has archives. Read here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Top-posting As an example, please observe today's Digest: **************************************** Send Rabbits mailing list submissions to rabbits@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit http://lists.looneylabs.com/mailman/listinfo/rabbits or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to rabbits-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx You can reach the person managing the list at rabbits-owner@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific than "Re: Contents of Rabbits digest..." Is the corset being worn or not? It'll be like real uneven terrain! Maybe magnetic pyramids.... Or Lego type pyramids. Magnetic, glow in the dark pyramids! I should know better than to surf the web while atching David Letterman and reading mesage boards and being up past bedtime and drinking hot cocoa. I am claiming temporary insanity as to why I did not evenbother to read the webiste or the link I sent. But I am liking the idea of magnetic pyramids. See how much more comprehensible and scanable the second one is? Which would you rather read every day? If the list manager agrees, perhaps a "No Top-Posting" policy could be implemented in the instructions or the welcome message for the listserv? (This is part of why I have offered to make a phpBB bulletin board for LL: threaded discussions and the ability to turn off autoquoting.) The *only* benefit to top-posting is if, by some change, someone comes into the list in the middle of a discussion and is confused and needs to see the whole thread. That's what the list archives are for.... Thanks for your time and attention; and thank you in advance for cleaning up your replies; David Artman
