I teach high school students with varying types of mental retardation.
Most of my kids read at the elementary level, anywhere from 1st grade to
5th grade comprehension. My two higher students have word recognition
at the high school level, but when I gave them (and this is funny, since
we're talking about EcoFluxx) the reading passages on "recycling" they
bombed... They had no idea and couldn't answer any of the questions
about it. So, I'm thinking EcoFluxx might be too high. I have regular
Fluxx, and I don't think any of my students would "Get it" except maybe
one... and these guys are pretty sheltered, so I'm pretty sure that
some of the cards in the game would worry them.
If there were any game stores near the school, I'd make one of our
community trips to buy the games, but there aren't, so we can't do that.

I REALLY want Fluxx Junior for my classroom, and Nanofictionary. Any
idea when Fluxx Junior will be ready? I'd like to get them both at or
near the same time, if possible.
Fluxx Junior been renamed... to Family Fluxx

Andy I am VERY pleased to say that all the artwork (cards, tuckbox,
display and even the rules) are all in the hands of Fedex for delivery
to my printer on Tuesday morning.
That said - it will still be 5 to 6 weeks before we have decks.
EcoFluxx, on the other hand:

goes on press next week - so I'll have decks by the end of September!
What age/subject do you teach? Would EcoFluxx be a good fit?
Thanks for teaching with our games in your classroom!
