I agree with your version. It doesn't say "2 more cards" it says "2
cards for each creeper."

I thought it was pretty clear that "until they have drawn" meant
"total for this action", i.e. a player with 1 Creeper would draw a
total of 2 cards. But everyone else at the table seemed to think that
the two sentences were to be treated separately, so a player with 1
Creeper would draw 1 card and then 2 more cards for a total of 3. My
thought was, if that was the intention, why wouldn't it just say
"Anyone with a Creeper then draws 2 more cards for each Creeper they
possess"? Is it just worded that way to account for drawing other
Creepers along the way?
