I dunno about the colors bit, wasn't there some idea a while back to make five new colors of pyramids? I'm pretty sure pink and brown were among the generally accepted suggestions. Plus, if you make giant or custom pyramids, you can pick whatever color you want for them, so it might have just been a cool idea or the color they had the most of.
