I am too out of the loop to help with anything involving Origins, but I can always offer my opinion. ;) I like the idea--sort of like the IGDC but wide open. (Sorry I didn't hold the line on this year's IGDC--I' in a weird and crazy space, if that's any excuse.) And it is, IIRC, also the name of some 12,489 other awards. I think something riffing on "pyramid" should be the name, and I'd go for whimsy over audacity. > - Eligibility Any game in 2009 (i.e. year X) not made by Andy. I know that sounds bad... but he'd outshine anyone, by virtue of his name (and the fact that he makes really, really good games!). I'd suggest "blind submission" (i.e. no name on them) if it were reasonable, but prolly not with the wiki and all. > - Nomination I'd say just accept any and every--self-nominated or otherwise. You could allow voting for a day or so, at Origins (why not?) but I'd still arrange it to have the calculations and award done on Saturday evening. > - Who will decide all these policies Me and thee, any anyone else that's free? > - Who will actually run all this Oh, that's easy--you. ;) Or anyone who's a consistent (i.e. annual) Origins attendee. It'd be cool if the Looneys could somehow give it an official stamp, but I'm sure they have enough to do at Origins already. This is probably going to be a Just Do It thing--if you make it, we will vote. :)
