Ok I am confused. There are three types of boxes for games. 

1. Two halves a lid and a bottom.
2. Boxes like bicycle playing cards come in with a tuck flap.
3. Boxes where each end is glued thus once opened does not recluse.


In my opinion number 1 is best followed by 2.  3 however is a huge mistake and never be 
Used for a game. 

That being said I prefer pyramids to be in clear containers so you can get the colors you need for a given game.
