I thought a way to trade would be cool in this game.

I had the same thought was I was originally developing the game. We
actually tried out a couple of different trading concepts (both as a card
action, and even as an anytime you want during your turn type option) and
it just never worked. Cool as it might seem to add in trading, in practice,
players never felt like actually made any deals. And if no one actually
wants to make a trade, a lot of talk about how you can trade if you want to
becomes noise.

But hey, feel free to try playing it, maybe your group will get into it...
