I asked some questions of regarding the above Keepers if/when mixing
EcoFluxx and regular Fluxx. Alison sent me back the answers. Now I pass them
along to you. I assume the same logic will extend to the other versions of
Fluxx and their Keepers.

After playing Fluxx and EcoFluxx at Ubercon this past weekend, some
questions arose regarding mixing the two games into one deck:
1) Are the Sun (Fluxx) and Sunshine (EcoFluxx) keepers interchangable? For
example, if the games were mixed, would Sun count for the Rainbows (Water
and Sunshine), Basking (Sunshine and Snakes), and Photosynthesis (Leaves
and Sunshine) goals? Would Sunshine count for the Sun and the Moon goal?
2) Does the Flowers promo Keeper (Flowers and Fluxx) count for EcoFluxx
Goals that require the Flowers (EcoFluxx) Keeper?
3) If the answer is affirmative, does that mean that the Star and Flowers
promo keepers now count as 3 different keepers (Star = Sun, Moon, Sunshine
& Flowers = (Eco)Flowers, Love, Death)?
Thanks in advance,

Andy says: Yes those things all count for what you think they do (when the
games are mixed). Now, I agree, some of those things go together better
than others. For example, I think it would be funny to call Sunshine and
The Moon "Moonshine"
The star is a little stranger to substitute for Sunshine, to my mind (Snakes
& The Star = Basking? etc.) but I guess technically it should work (after
all, the sun _is_ a star).
The Flowers promo is intuitive to sub for Flowers in EcoFluxx. I actually
find it's substitution for Love and Death a lot funnier (War = Flowers, for
example) Death by Chocolate becomes some kind of Valentines day add
(Flowers & Chocolate - at least they kind of go together). Hippyism (Love
and Flowers - more like Flower Children, but that works). So, even when
these substitutions are a bit weird, the rules say they work, so BAM they
This is the ruling: Sunshine = The Sun. Flowers (promo) can = Flowers
(EcoFluxx). And yes, since The Star = The Sun, and The Sun = Sunshine, The
Star = Sunshine. (hey isn't that the commutative property of math?) (Oh,
but Flowers (Eco) does not equal Love or Death - you probably understand
Happy Fluxxing - tell us how it plays when you mix them up!
