It's not either, it's both. We're striving for maximum appeal, so I don't want to alienate casual fans anymore than the die-hards. This is generally a difficult balance and one of the hardest problems I've had to deal with on this project. There are a LOT of people who've seen enough Monty Python to feel like they can enjoy this game, and I don't want them to be put off by too many references that they don't get. At the same time, there are hardcore fans who feel are inevitably going to be disappointed because their favorite bit, whatever that might be, is missing. Those issues are obviously at play here -- "resting" may be more canonical, but it's more awkward sounding and doesn't convey the essence of the situation as well "sleeping."

I just wish the shopkeepr had used the word sleep in the sketch somewhere instead of using so many odd colloquialisms...

The question for me is is this being made for Monty Python fans to

If it's the former, those 'whining purists' are going to be the people
who are going to buy your deck sight unseen from websites and con
booths, even if they don't know the game.

If it's the latter, then go for whatever name flows smoothest.

I wasn't suggesting Google for a scientific study -- but I think it's
reasonable to assume that Monty Python fans are a subset of your
standard garden variety geek, and your geeks are the folks that do
huge tribute websites, read and write thousands of posts on usenet,
etc.etc. It's just a geek culture gutcheck for me.
