I use a pretty old email client (vm, in emacs) but it's been under active development, so it autoconverts html email into text. 2. Really badly formed email -- spam, truly egrigious top posting, etc--tends to be html email. Mostly, there just isn't a good reason to use html for email; most of the useful stuff in email is text, and the rest can trivially be linkage. That said, I don't really care; feel free to try to convince whoever does have power to let html in. I won't -see- it, mind, as I get my html email (on lists, anyways) via a lynx turning it to text. -- Joshua Kronengold (mneme@(io.com, labcats.org)) |\ _,,,--,,_ ,) --^-- "Did you know, if you increment enough, you /,`.-'`' -, ;-;;' /\\ get an extra digit?"
