And besides.... I hear Andy loves to play this game... so having a few more players to challenge him in Homeworlds in Andy versus Everybody at Origins and Gen Con would just about make his day, I'm thinking....

So, you should play a few fast games of Homeworlds to get up to
speed, and then challenge him. Just 3 or 4 games can really help you
get a feel for the basic strategies of the game. It won't make you an
expert, but it will help a lot.
