There are 5 pyramids in each tube.....

These are the nests I spoke of.

are their 5 different sizes? Is each a slightly different size?

There are 3 sizes. 1pt (small), 2pt (medium), and 3pt (large)
 

Is that the same for the solid color tubes? Would I get 5 sizes of each yellow (assuming I bought a tube of Yellow)

You would get 5 yellows of each size (sm, med, lg) in a monochrome stash.
