we will probably be moving to Cali this summer (late spring maybe)-  so we will have to deal with this if it is not reversed or stopped. Just thought I'd share- since education and personal freedoms seem to be important to all of us:

 

California is trying to BAN home education; taking away the the parents right to make decisions for their child. The government will decide how the child will be educated.

Only people with college teaching degrees will be allowed to homeschool. Even one feels homeschooling is not a good option- it shuld still be a parents right to have the freedom to choose to homeschool their kids.

One of the only reasons I agreed to this California Position is because "at the time" the homeschool laws were decent ones.

Now. I do think that HSLDA (home school legal deffense association) likes to use fear tactics sometimes, but it seems legit so far.

and it makes me a bit nervous about moving there.
