I demo with my students... but I'm teaching. I don't ask for
permission... I've learned it is easier not to and just ask forgiveness
later when you promise not to ever do it again. ;) I'm lucky at my
current school: they look at me a little funny sometimes, but once I
explain, they understand the idea.
