Yes, it did. Looking at the properties in Adobe Reader, I see that Cookie-Regular and Courier are both embedded fonts in that file. The smashed section looks less bold than the text section, though. Also, the actual font version renders better at various zoom levels, where the converted vector is less readable at smaller levels.
