Anyway, does anyone have a > recommendation for me for some place I can order something specific, > which is maybe on sale or something? I have lost so much data due to so many harddrives going bad.. (including 2 in a raid set at once! Heh. As they say, Raid is not backup! DOH!) That I now put reliability at the top of my list, and only buy Retail disks, not OEM. And I only buy Seagate due to their 5 year warranty. I've had very good luck so far in the last few years sticking by those rules. = ) (I got majorly burned in the IBM Deathstar.. uhh. deskstar fiasco like 5 years ago, and have had issues with both Maxtor and Western Digital.) So to where, the brick and mortar stores near me always seem to have weekly hard drive specials that have really good prices. (Best Buy, Micro Center, Comp USA) Right before the weekend is a great time to check the prices, as if they don't have what you are looking for now, they change on Sunday, so you can get 2 weeks worth of specials in just 2-3 days. :) For online, I love using newegg.com for all my geek needs. = ) Hope that helps! -Nick --- "There are only 10 kinds of people - those who understand binary and those who don't." -- Unknown
