People on this list seem to be forgetting that when it comes to
opaques, but it is a vital concept when playing Volcano with 5 shashes
of Treehouse and Volcano caps.

Indeed.  It's not much to quickly inspect the contents of a stack in Volcano.

The only time where opacity is a significant issue is where
a) what's under the opaque piece is somehow secret information
b) what's under the opaque piece is important to know and it's
difficult to inspect it for some reason.
