These cool glass orbs (actually, they're usually acrylic) are known
as contact juggling balls. You can get them from any decent juggling
supplier, as well as books and videos on how to use them. The book I
learned from (I am not the mystery rabbit, as I've never been to
origins) is "Contact Juggling" by James Ernest. Yes, that's right,
the James Ernest of Cheapass Games fame. He was a juggler before he
became a game designer. There are also some videos, which I've never
watched, but I've heard good things about Contact Juggling parts 1
and 2 by Greg Maldonado.
Here are some good suppliers of juggling equipment. Look in the balls
or acrylic balls section for contact juggling balls, and in the books
and videos section for instructional materials:

Hi Dave!
Sorry, I don't remember a Rabbit with a Crystal Ball, nor do I know
where you might find one. But hey, let's ask the rest of the Rabbits!
Hey Rabbits! Is the Origins Crystal Ball Rabbit on this list? Does
anyone know who it might have been? Does anyone have a good source
for cool glass orbs?

Last year at Origins we saw one of your Lab Rabbits playing a
large glass
ball that he could roll around in his hands. So, now, 22 days before
Christmas my son says, "hey, I know what I'd like..."
Can you please tell me where I can get a ball like that? Is this
something your online store sells? (I'm afraid to seach the
internet for
balls...)
Thanks for any help and Merry Christmas to you and yours.
