These suggestions are great! Last April Looney Labs had a
field trip to the Clean Energy Open House in Takoma Park. If
you are in the DC area, I would totally recommend attending.

National Day of Climate Action--April 14th, 2007
On this day, there will be hundreds and hundreds of rallies
all across the country. People will hike, bike, climb,
walk, swim, kayak, canoe, or simply sit or stand with
banners with a call to action: "Step it up, Congress! Cut
Carbon 80% by 2050."

The Chesapeake Climate Action Network will once again open
to the public Maryland's only 95-percent renewable energy
household. The home, owned by Mike Tidwell of Takoma Park,
is equipped with energy-efficient appliances and light
bulbs, and is powered by photovoltaic solar panels, a solar
hot-water system, and a corn-burning home-heating stove.
WHAT: A tour of the first home in Maryland/Virginia/DC
powered almost entirely by renewable energy and landscaped
with native plants.
