I have a very similar game to the one you and your wife created that I
used when I taught technology education in a vocational department at a
children's rehab hospital... I don't use it now with my kids, it is far
too difficult, and most of it doesn't apply to my students because they
will all receive some type of state assistance for job handling, and
most of them will received services from the county and state mental
health or mental retardation boards.
The kids I taught in the school run by the rehab hospital were mostly
learning disabled and/or emotionally disturbed or had suffered a
traumatic brain injury.
I did just post a few of the goals for Survival Fluxx. I REALLY need to
get the cards put onto label blanks so we can buy the Blanxx... But,
I make most of my own curriculum for my students and it takes forever to
make stuff. I just spent the afternoon doing spelling units.

I'm actually on the other side of the state in Wood county. I can see
the Ohio River from my house and am only 40 minutes from several of
the Rabbits in Athens, Ohio.
Do tell us about Survival Fluxx though. My wife and I made a game for
a Careers class that was based upon each child getting a career with a
certain pay, family, etc. They then had to budget money, pay bills,
and had various "emergencies" spring up that they had to account
for. The jobs were all based upon how much education the person had -
trying to drive home the point that if someone drops out of school
before graduation it may make it tough to get that car they want.
I am in the slow arduous process of making a version of the game Once
Upon a Time in Spanish to get my Spanish students to try some
free-style storytelling in the target language. I just recently heard
about Nanofictionary though and may need to look into that game soon.
