Not sure if this helps or not, but my Mom did not understand the old version of the rules at all. I showed her the new version and could see the metaphorical light bulb turn on almost immediately. The new version is much more "user friendly." As for the game itself... I got five of the folks in my Friday Night group to try it last night and everyone seemed to enjoy it.
