I've been trying to follow Carol's advice of waiting a few days on
replying to this and related threads, but there's lots of stuff to
reply to, so, apologies to Carol, hopefully we can keep the thread
civil from now on.

BoardGameGeek.com has a GeekList of "Icehouse Pyramid Games Sorted by
Average Rating":

Yep, I listed this at the top of the "Choosing Games" page, but with
a caveat; there are very few ratings for most Icehouse games on
BoardGameGeek, and so the ratings can be fairly skewed by just a
couple votes. All of the games that actually have enough plays to
have a ranking (30 plays) are already listed on Choosing Games,
though I just noticed that Alien City is only listed in one category,
which should probably be fixed.
I think that having an Icehouse specific system of finding the best
games, with input from the Icehouse community, would be best. A
revival of the Icehouse Game Design Competition may work, or some
sort of longer term ranking system could be good. We'll need to think
about what would best suit the Icehouse community and be easy to
maintain.
