With all due respect:
Sorry, all other things are not equal.
"Icehouse pieces only available in Treehouse sets" is NOT superior to "Icehouse pieces are available in single-color stashes."
"Icehouse pieces no longer available" is sheer speculation, and a bit of disingenuous propaganda, if we are all honest.
Even though there are a lot of people on this thread who feel Treehouse is the best thing since sliced bread, neither I nor anyone I've played it with have not found it to be a very good game, and there are a lot of other stash-based Icehouse games I'd like to customize myself, rather than spending fifty or one hundred bucks to get the colors I want, and perhaps some I don't. I've already purchased all the colors, including Cyan and Grey, but I find myself reluctant to buy in the "Treehouse" fashion, especially if I'm buying to give a friend a two or three stash game.
I like to support the Looneys, and have for years, but I feel I must voice my opinion on this. They haven't gone to China for manufacturing (and thus save a lot of costs) because they kept to their principles of American manufacturing; why should they feel this stash-to-tree change (un-friendly to their long-time consumers) should be made for purely financial reasons? Where is the hippy reciprocity?

Worse news would be, "Icehouse pieces no longer available."
Ceteris paribus, "Icehouse pyramids only available in Treehouse sets"
is vastly superior.
