In Sinister there are no alignments, hidden or not.  Everyone tries to
destroy the player on their left.  Destroying a different player
accomplishes nothing for you.  (Except maybe stopping someone else
from doing it... or maybe that gives them the win anyway.  Argh, I
should know this.)

Also, you can't understand the good/evil dynamic well just by reading
it.  That's like saying it's intrinsically better to be a werewolf.
