[Icehouse] pit game

OK, I finally feel like I'm not asking a bunch of dumb questions without having sufficiently RTFM'd. I have full stashes of all 12 colors. I've play some 16 or so games at least a few times each. I've helped Max write a game. I've made myself familiar with Eeyore's site, both Looney sites, Kory's stuph, SDG, BGG, and IGO.

So, here's my question for today:

Is there a good "pit game" for Icehouse pieces? A game that is relatively straightforward, hard, runs constantly, that a crowd of people can "all play", and casual players can even "snipe" an occasional play while walking by or while taking a break from something else. I know very few games fit into this category, but some do, and I like that kind of game so well, I keep two of them in my car all the time: Ricochet Robots and Set. I'm probably using the term "pit game" wrongly, but it seems to fit. If you think of the relative heights of the table, a ring of sitting players, and then a ring of standing players.
