I can't stress enough how difficult it is to get time for yourself in the exposition hall or events that you want to play. The first two years that I did Origins I didn't do the expo hall. To bring it to the subject of "Conventions" rather than Origins... GenCon always does this too. However, you have to put your own money up for GenCon hotel and wait as much as 3 months after the con for a refund. (You have to reserve/pay for your GenCon room in Feb/March.) I don't know how GenCon does it for Rabbits, I run games for other companies there. (I live in Indy so I don't always pay for the hotel.)
