The Looneys won't install forum software on Wonderland or
Looneylabs, which is likely the only way to get mass adoption.
I don't believe there was ever a request to include a forum-view of the
mailing list on the looneylabs or wunderland sites (just requests to
abandon the lists in favor of just a web forum). That could be easily
implemented by simply embedding the nabble hosted forum. I believe
their "nabble 2" version is even easier to embed, and we can now ask
them to migrate the list from their "old" version to "nabble 2" should
that be desirable:
