I'm sorry you feel that way.  All I can say is that I don't meet *my* definition of trolling, which is about deliberately taking an offensive stance in order to attempt to gender negative emotion.

Let me rephrase -- would that help? What I am trying to say is, if it is possible to create an extra rule or a new interpretation that disallows a sort of rule that is clearly going to be too hard for everyone, then we should consider making that rule, at least in-house for our own games.

I certainly think that it is perfectly possible to come up with a house rule that would make the scrabble rule invalid and leave Joshua's other examples as valid -- except maybe the tee-shirt one, which does seem to break the spock rule in my eyes.
