I never talked to prank callers much (never got that many) but I frequently talk to wrong numbers. When I worked for directory assistance (yes I was an operator) I got a few prank calls but they usually hangup pretty quick when you tell them where they are calling from (the location not the number (though we knew that too)) and as a bonus they absolutely freaked when they found out they couldn't hang up on us unless we hung up.
