Except that we won't (by my definition) be "out in public" The Borders Bonus/Curiosity card states "when you're in a public place (like the Borders cafe)..."

Since you have to buy a ticket to get into the Convention at all (and therefore into the Lab), it is a private space, not a public one.  I'm picky about that definition, I know, but I think it's the right call.
