What are they going to be, plastic? I've seen three-layer corrugated
plasic, basically plastic cardboard. Is that the stuff?
yes, the plan has been to make them with this corrugated plastic...
BUT I'm thinking that may never happen. corrugated plastic comes in
several thicknesses, and the standard thicker version is too thick to fold
well into pyramids, while the special thinner (and more expensive) version
does work, but it is much harder to find in good colors unless you make a
custom run in huge quantities - and this material still presents a bunch of
challenges for manufacturing and assembly.
the GOOD news - is that the cutting die I used years ago to make the
cardboard ones that we have since run out of STILL EXISTS! I was not sure
of this... but I tracked it down (long story on why that was hard) so we
do have the option of making more corrugated cardboard ones.
I make no promises on how soon I will make more... trust me when I say my
to-do list is out of control, and this does not fall very high on the
priority list. But there are several very vocal stores who are begging for
more giant pyramids - so sure hope this will happen sometime this year...
so that's the giant pyramid update... Thanks for playing with pyramids!
