I hope this doesn't count as apostasy, but I don't want it all that much. My feeling is, if I was going to do some piece work today, I'd buy five Xeno sets. Then I'd have a clear stash, which I'd do something with. And a white stash, which I'd do something else with. And a black stash, which I'd stare at and then come up with something completely different to do with.
And two more colors, which would pile up in a box somewhere until I had enough to use them for Zendo stones.
Mind you, it's been a few years since I did any piecenikking anyhow. (Really, I got better results out of the xyloid pieces...)
* This One Goes To 11 - Gray must stay. Gray must stay. (Say it with me!) Gray must stay. Gray must stay.
I like the gray stash. Flexibility is cool. I'd be happy if it eventually transitioned to full retail availability, rather than being a status symbol or reward.
Maybe gray could live on as the sole monochrome stash offering in a treehouse world? I don't know if that makes sense for the way the molds are constructed, though. And it obviously depends on (1) Treehouse selling well enough to support a side product, and (2) a good game that uses Treehouse+Gray.
