Although all other points I agree with and I agree some places work too hard to be 'child friendly'..(how about the politically correct remake of E.T.? that was just silly)
- I would NOT want a bunch people I have never met in charge of my kids at a restaurant. Hire a babysitter... drop them off at Grandma's- yes... drop them off with a bunch of strangers in a public restaurant- no. Now at the ages they are now- 11-14, I'm fine with them iff with the other kids that age in the other corner, but not for when they were 4 or 6 or 8.
I think we should go with two seperate places. One for adult only games and one that is fine with children being there. As a mom to 4 of them here, I kow I need my NO KID times!

By the same token, if we're blue-skying it here, why not go whole hog
about it? Applebee's-style restaurant with light bar, game tables, AND
CHILD CARE. Kids get a supervised place that's age-appropriate, adults
get a place to go out and not have to deal with unsupervised tykes....
