Mike, can I get a pic of your stuff in that bag? It sounds like a good plan for now.
And yeah, I just hate putting them back in the tubes more than anything. Maybe someone will post who's already done foam or who has some small storage that you can get pyramids in and out of quickly. *crosses fingers*

I've been using an old laptop bag for a sub-notebook sized device. In it I have a bunch of tubes to hold stashes and treehouse sets. There is also room for a small back with dice. The side pockets are great for holding a volcano board, rules printouts, cards, etc. I do keep thinking about doing something with cutout foam however. It might make it faster / easier to get the pyramids in and out rather than using the tubes.
