I tried to do that, but have never gotten it working. It doesn't appear to be stuck in the spam-trap, either. Could you provide instructions for how you got it working? If not, may go ahead and go the RSS route for new topic notification, though it would still require going through the browser to subscribe to follow-up comments on the topics. At least the feed is there, and it's better than completely missing everything, which is what's happening right now.
