Apparently the market will bear a $50 price tag. That's more than I would pay for such a Treehouse set by a factor of three or four.
Will I be disappointed if I don't get a set? No, not really -- they're just an accidental byproduct of the manufacturing process.
Hmmm... my thoughts on one-of-a-kind pyramids seem to echo Andy's on professional sports: why all the excitement over something one had no hand in creating? I'm rather proud of my own skeleton crew, origami patterned, purpleheart and other such sets. Not only am _I_ not thrilled about these off-color ones, but I can hardly believe that the manufacturer is all that proud of them either.
...or am I being a buzzkill?

Personally $50 would be cost prohibitive (I have a few other priorities at the moment) that may change in the near future as I take care of some of those priorities. I would have to agree on the stash vs. Treehouse set though I could see either. You can play Tree House with a mono stash. Not so Martian coasters. The mono stash would fit into other games that are stash related as well as being used in TreeHouse.
Just my thoughts.
And yes I would be dissapointed if I wasn't able to get my hands on some.
